This session will require you to bring 2 x A4 black and white prints, high contrast, portrait of your choice. Also bring the same image in full colour. We will try out a variety of techniques using the print as the basis for our experimenting.

Alfresco sketching and recording 5 euros per person

This week we will be taking advantage of the fine weather which is so overdue, to take inspiration from the land and gardens surrounding the studio.

You can draw, photograph, model in clay, or record in any way you want the natural surrounds of the studio to inspire future projects, which can be anything from mono printing, collage, fabric design to linocuts or conventional painting.

Bring your own equipment or borrow from the studio.

Using Gelli printing plates, we will create experiments using foliage, grasses, etc to make a series of prints onto found card and paper.

This session will involve rolling out inks/paint onto the plates and then creating one off images and ghost images that can be layered with further printing, or kept as a single layered print. Please bring your own card and paper, although there will be spare at the studio too. Make sure you bring an old shirt or apron to wear, and baby wipes to clean your plates after use.

I am asking for a donation of 5 euros per person for this morning session. This helps towards the upkeep and utilities of the studio.

This feels a bit like writing one of those old fashioned newspaper dating ads 'Would like to meet...'

I would really like to host weekly/monthly gatherings for anyone who is interested in a social hour or two based around all things creative. At the moment I create on my own, but would love to connect to other creatives. You could be crafty, a photographer, graphic designer, painter, interior designer, ceramicist, this list is by no means exhaustive. Perhaps you would just like to get more involved in something creative and don't quite know what.

By the way there is no club fee, this is purely social.
