About KIKI

Over the years I have worked in photography, magazine styling, and many areas of art and design including textile and editorial illustration. I contributed to several life style columns for national newspapers. Whilst bringing up my two boys I changed tack and taught Graphic design for 15 years and my last job in the UK was as a curator and manager of an award winning heritage lottery funded Guildhall renovation.

Having settled in South west France in 2018, with the abundance of space and opportunity, I felt I wanted to run workshops, take on commissions and design my own products to sell in a very teeny shop. So my husband and I have created a purpose built studio space under the old grange. ‘La Chouette’

I work in all areas of digital and traditional media, and often combine the two approaches in design work. be it card design, prints, fabrics or creating decorative objects.

My hobbies born from lockdown included working on a building site, and singing in a band where I was referred to as ‘Roy’ as in Orbison. (I’ll take that!) I have also become proficient in growing tomatoes, Cosmos, Zinnias and Californian poppies.

We have no pets, but plentiful frogs, wild boar, gold fish and a Stone Marten lodging in our attic.

The picture for this bio was taken in the fabulous ladies toilet in THE IVY in Brighton.
